What is cannabis?

Cannabis is a plant that contains organic compounds called cannabinoids. There are over 140 different cannabinoids, each with a different effect on the body, but most of our products are focused on just four…

Fun fact – marijuana and cannabis plants contain the exact same cannabinoids. They’re essentially the same plant!

What will cannabis do to my body?

Depending on which product you use, there are a wide range of potential benefits – from reducing inflammation to helping with sleep.

But everybody is different, so it’s important to find the right fit for you. If you’re new, we recommend starting with a low dose and slowly increasing as needed.

You can’t overdose on cannabis, but if you take too much, it may make you sleepy or drowsy. If this happens, simply lower your dose next time.

How do I take cannabis?

There are many ways to take cannabis, from topicals to edibles. The main difference is how long they last, and how long they take to ‘kick in’.

Oils, lollipops, beverages and hard candies that are absorbed in your mouth.

May last up to 6 hours.
Gummies and other chewable foods.

May take 60 to 90 minutes to kick in.

May last up to 8 hours.

How does it work?

Time for some simple science. You ready?

Everybody (every mammal, reptile, and nematode in fact) has something in their body called the endocannabinoid system. It is one of the largest regulatory systems in the body, made up of cannabinoid receptors from head to toe.

Discovered in 1988, the endocannabinoid system is believed to be responsible for overall balance – helping with pain, sleep and so much more.

So when you take cannabinoids like THC or CBD, they connect to these receptors in order to help this system do its job properly.

What does ‘isolate’ mean?

Isolate products do not contain any THC, which means they won’t cause that ‘high’ feeling. We offer CBD, CBG and CBN isolate products – all with 0.0% THC.

If you get drug tested for medical reasons or for your job, products with the term ‘isolate’ should be safe for your needs.

What is ‘full spectrum CBD’?

Full spectrum means that all cannabinoids in the hemp plant are present in our products, with only a trace amount of 0.3% THC.

This is because cannabinoids work better together – a phenomenon known as the ‘entourage’ effect.

And because full spectrum CBD products only contain trace amounts of THC, they won’t cause that ‘high’ feeling.

What is ‘Full Spectrum +’?

Full Spectrum+ is our exclusive Botanicanna product range designed by our experts, which can potentially enhance pain relief.

We optimize the potential effects of our Full Spectrum CBD+, CBG+ and CBN+ products by including a measurable, microdose amount of 2.5mg D9 THC.

Please note:
FS+, CBG+, CBN+ edibles contain 2.5mg D9 THC to support pain relief. While most consumers don’t feel a psychoactive effect from 2.5mg, there is potential for those who don’t use D9 THC regularly to produce a psychoactive effect.

What do people use CBG for?

CBG is known as the ‘brain cannabinoid’, which connects to receptors in our brains.

For many users, it may help with focus, energy and memory – ideal for using during the day when things need to get done.

Plus, much like CBD, it may also help with pain relief and reducing inflammation.

Why do people take CBN?

CBN is known as the ‘sleepy cannabinoid’, used by many as a sleep aid.

It may also help as a muscle relaxer, and may even help to combat anxiety – great for taking things to a more relaxed pace at night.

It may also help with lung health and pain relief, as well as reducing inflammation.

Are your products legal?

All of our products are derived from hemp which is federally legal, making all of our products legal to sell and ship to all 50 states, including Delta 9 THC.
